Ephesians 5

1 γίνεσθε οὖν μιμηταὶ τοῦ θεοῦ, ὡς τέκνα ἀγαπητά,

Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.

그러므로 사랑을 입은 자녀 같이 너희는 하나님을 본받는 자가 되고

2 καὶ περιπατεῖτε ἐν ἀγάπῃ, καθὼς καὶ ὁ Χριστὸς ἠγάπησεν ⸀ἡμᾶς καὶ παρέδωκεν ἑαυτὸν ὑπὲρ ⸀ἡμῶν προσφορὰν καὶ θυσίαν τῷ θεῷ εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας.

Walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.

그리스도께서 너희를 사랑하신 것 같이 너희도 사랑 가운데서 행하라 그는 우리를 위하여 자신을 버리사 향기로운 제물과 생축으로 하나님께 드리셨느니라

3 Πορνεία δὲ καὶ ⸂ἀκαθαρσία πᾶσα ἢ πλεονεξία μηδὲ ὀνομαζέσθω ἐν ὑμῖν, καθὼς πρέπει ἁγίοις,

But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;

음행과 온갖 더러운 것과 탐욕은 너희 중에서 그 이름이라도 부르지 말라 이는 성도의 마땅한 바니라

4 καὶ αἰσχρότης καὶ μωρολογία ἢ εὐτραπελία, ⸂ἃ οὐκ ἀνῆκεν, ἀλλὰ μᾶλλον εὐχαριστία.

nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks.

누추함과 어리석은 말이나 희롱의 말이 마땅치 아니하니 돌이켜 감사하는 말을 하라

5 τοῦτο γὰρ ⸀ἴστε γινώσκοντες ὅ ι πᾶς πόρνος ἢ ἀκάθαρτος ἢ πλεονέκτης, ⸀ὅ ἐστιν εἰδωλολάτρης, οὐκ ἔχει κληρονομίαν ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ τοῦ Χριστοῦ καὶ θεοῦ.

Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.

너희도 이것을 정녕히 알거니와 음행하는 자나 더러운 자나 탐하는 자 곧 우상 숭배자는 다 그리스도와 하나님 나라에서 기업을 얻지 못하리니

6 Μηδεὶς ὑμᾶς ἀπατάτω κενοῖς λόγοις, διὰ ταῦτα γὰρ ἔρχεται ἡ ὀργὴ τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῆς ἀπειθείας.

Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.

누구든지 헛된 말로 너희를 속이지 못하게 하라 이를 인하여 하나님의 진노가 불순종의 아들들에게 임하나니

7 μὴ οὖν γίνεσθε συμμέτοχοι αὐτῶν·

Therefore don’t be partakers with them.

그러므로 저희와 함께 참예하는 자 되지 말라

8 ἦτε γάρ ποτε σκότος, νῦν δὲ φῶς ἐν κυρίῳ· ὡς τέκνα φωτὸς περιπατεῖτε,

For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,

너희가 전에는 어두움이더니 이제는 주 안에서 빛이라 빛의 자녀들처럼 행하라

9 ὁ γὰρ καρπὸς τοῦ ⸀φωτὸς ἐν πάσῃ ἀγαθωσύνῃ καὶ δικαιοσύνῃ καὶ ἀληθείᾳ,

for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,

빛의 열매는 모든 착함과 의로움과 진실함에 있느니라

10 δοκιμάζοντες τί ἐστιν εὐάρεστον τῷ κυρίῳ·

proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.

주께 기쁘시게 할 것이 무엇인가 시험하여 보라

11 καὶ μὴ συγκοινωνεῖτε τοῖς ἔργοις τοῖς ἀκάρποις τοῦ σκότους, μᾶλλον δὲ καὶ ἐλέγχετε,

Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.

너희는 열매 없는 어두움의 일에 참예하지 말고 도리어 책망하라

12 τὰ γὰρ κρυφῇ γινόμενα ὑπʼ αὐτῶν αἰσχρόν ἐστιν καὶ λέγειν·

For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of.

저희의 은밀히 행하는 것들은 말하기도 부끄러움이라

13 τὰ δὲ πάντα ἐλεγχόμενα ὑπὸ τοῦ φωτὸς φανεροῦται,

But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.

그러나 책망을 받는 모든 것이 빛으로 나타나나니 나타나지는 것마다 빛이니라

14 πᾶν γὰρ τὸ φανερούμενον φῶς ἐστιν. διὸ λέγει· Ἔγειρε, ὁ καθεύδων, καὶ ἀνάστα ἐκ τῶν νεκρῶν, καὶ ἐπιφαύσει σοι ὁ Χριστός.

Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

그러므로 이르시기를 잠자는 자여 깨어서 죽은 자들 가운데서 일어나라 그리스도께서 네게 비취시리라 하셨느니라

15 Βλέπετε οὖν ⸂ἀκριβῶς πῶς περιπατεῖτε, μὴ ὡς ἄσοφοι ἀλλʼ ὡς σοφοί,

Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise;

그런즉 너희가 어떻게 행할 것을 자세히 주의하여 지혜 없는 자 같이 말고 오직 지혜 있는 자 같이 하여

16 ἐξαγοραζόμενοι τὸν καιρόν, ὅτι αἱ ἡμέραι πονηραί εἰσιν.

redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

세월을 아끼라 때가 악하니라

17 διὰ τοῦτο μὴ γίνεσθε ἄφρονες, ἀλλὰ ⸀συνίετε τί τὸ θέλημα τοῦ κυρίου·

Therefore don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

그러므로 어리석은 자가 되지 말고 오직 주의 뜻이 무엇인가 이해하라

18 καὶ μὴ μεθύσκεσθε οἴνῳ, ἐν ᾧ ἐστιν ἀσωτία, ἀλλὰ πληροῦσθε ἐν πνεύματι,

Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,

술 취하지 말라 이는 방탕한 것이니 오직 성령의 충만을 받으라

19 λαλοῦντες ⸀ἑαυτοῖς ψαλμοῖς καὶ ὕμνοις καὶ ᾠδαῖς πνευματικαῖς, ᾄδοντες καὶ ⸀ψάλλοντες τῇ καρδίᾳ ὑμῶν τῷ κυρίῳ,

speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

시와 찬미와 신령한 노래들로 서로 화답하며 너희의 마음으로 주께 노래하며 찬송하며

20 εὐχαριστοῦντες πάντοτε ὑπὲρ πάντων ἐν ὀνόματι τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τῷ θεῷ καὶ πατρί,

giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father;

범사에 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 항상 아버지 하나님께 감사하며

21 ὑποτασσόμενοι ἀλλήλοις ἐν φόβῳ Χριστοῦ.

subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ.

그리스도를 경외함으로 피차 복종하라

22 Αἱ γυναῖκες τοῖς ἰδίοις ⸀ἀνδράσιν ὡς τῷ κυρίῳ,

Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

아내들이여 자기 남편에게 복종하기를 주께 하듯 하라

23 ὅτι ἀνήρ ἐστιν κεφαλὴ τῆς γυναικὸς ὡς καὶ ὁ Χριστὸς κεφαλὴ τῆς ἐκκλησίας, ⸀αὐτὸς σωτὴρ τοῦ σώματος.

For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.

이는 남편이 아내의 머리 됨이 그리스도께서 교회의 머리 됨과 같음이니 그가 친히 몸의 구주시니라

24 ἀλλὰ ⸀ὡς ἡ ἐκκλησία ὑποτάσσεται τῷ Χριστῷ, οὕτως καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες ⸀τοῖς ἀνδράσιν ἐν παντί.

But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.

그러나 교회가 그리스도에게 하듯 아내들도 범사에 그 남편에게 복종할지니라

25 Οἱ ἄνδρες, ἀγαπᾶτε τὰς ⸀γυναῖκας καθὼς καὶ ὁ Χριστὸς ἠγάπησεν τὴν ἐκκλησίαν καὶ ἑαυτὸν παρέδωκεν ὑπὲρ αὐτῆς,

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;

남편들아 아내 사랑하기를 그리스도께서 교회를 사랑하시고 위하여 자신을 주심 같이 하라

26 ἵνα αὐτὴν ἁγιάσῃ καθαρίσας τῷ λουτρῷ τοῦ ὕδατος ἐν ῥήματι,

that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,

이는 곧 물로 씻어 말씀으로 깨끗하게 하사 거룩하게 하시고

27 ἵνα παραστήσῃ ⸀αὐτὸς ἑαυτῷ ἔνδοξον τὴν ἐκκλησίαν, μὴ ἔχουσαν σπίλον ἢ ῥυτίδα ἤ τι τῶν τοιούτων, ἀλλʼ ἵνα ᾖ ἁγία καὶ ἄμωμος.

that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without defect.

자기 앞에 영광스러운 교회로 세우사 티나 주름잡힌 것이나 이런 것들이 없이 거룩하고 흠이 없게 하려 하심이니라

28 οὕτως ὀφείλουσιν ⸀καὶ οἱ ἄνδρες ἀγαπᾶν τὰς ἑαυτῶν γυναῖκας ὡς τὰ ἑαυτῶν σώματα· ὁ ἀγαπῶν τὴν ἑαυτοῦ γυναῖκα ἑαυτὸν ἀγαπᾷ,

Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.

이와 같이 남편들도 자기 아내 사랑하기를 제 몸 같이 할지니 자기 아내를 사랑하는 자는 자기를 사랑하는 것이라

29 οὐδεὶς γάρ ποτε τὴν ἑαυτοῦ σάρκα ἐμίσησεν, ἀλλὰ ἐκτρέφει καὶ θάλπει αὐτήν, καθὼς καὶ ὁ ⸀Χριστὸς τὴν ἐκκλησίαν,

For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly;

누구든지 언제든지 제 육체를 미워하지 않고 오직 양육하여 보호하기를 그리스도께서 교회를 보양함과 같이 하나니

30 ὅτι μέλη ἐσμὲν τοῦ σώματος ⸀αὐτοῦ

because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.

우리는 그 몸의 지체임이니라

31 ἀντὶ τούτου καταλείψει ἄνθρωπος ⸀τὸν ⸀πατέρα καὶ ⸀τὴν μητέρα καὶ προσκολληθήσεται ⸂τῇ γυναικὶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἔσονται οἱ δύο εἰς σάρκα μίαν.

“For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.”

이러므로 사람이 부모를 떠나 그 아내와 합하여 그 둘이 한 육체가 될지니

32 τὸ μυστήριον τοῦτο μέγα ἐστίν, ἐγὼ δὲ λέγω εἰς Χριστὸν καὶ εἰς τὴν ἐκκλησίαν.

This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly.

이 비밀이 크도다 내가 그리스도와 교회에 대하여 말하노라

33 πλὴν καὶ ὑμεῖς οἱ καθʼ ἕνα ἕκαστος τὴν ἑαυτοῦ γυναῖκα οὕτως ἀγαπάτω ὡς ἑαυτόν, ἡ δὲ γυνὴ ἵνα φοβῆται τὸν ἄνδρα.

Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

그러나 너희도 각각 자기의 아내 사랑하기를 자기 같이 하고 아내도 그 남편을 경외하라
